Proof of delivery (POD)
A document that confirms the successful delivery of goods to the intended recipient, often signed by the customer to acknowledge receipt of the shipment. PODs may include information such as the delivery date, time, location, and any additional services provided.
Example
After the white glove delivery team completes a delivery and assembly job, they obtain a signed proof of delivery from the customer, which serves as a record of the completed service and helps to facilitate billing and any potential claims.
