UCR
Unified Carrier Registration (UCR)
Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) is a federally-mandated program in the United States that requires all motor carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and leasing companies engaged in interstate commerce to register and pay annual fees. Established by the UCR Act of 2005, this program replaced the former Single State Registration System (SSRS).
UCR registration is managed through a national online system, simplifying the process for carriers operating in multiple states. It’s important to note that UCR is separate from, but related to, USDOT and MC number registrations.
